About
Alexandre Comet, Cloud & AI Architect and Tech Lead
Developer, SRE, cloud architect, then Tech Lead: over ten years, I have seen a cloud platform from each of these seats. Today, I design Azure and Google Cloud foundations at scale, set their standards and take generative AI into production on them.
For eight years, I worked on the same foundation, that of a large international retail group: about 900 applications on Azure and Google Cloud. It taught me to live with my architecture decisions, and to evolve them.
Beyond design, I represented the platform to the vendors, Microsoft and Google alike, and helped teams build their skills, in architecture as well as in generative AI.
ETHERIA Conseil is my company: you work with me directly, from scoping to code.

Principles
How I work.
An architecture proves itself in production
I was on call before I was an architect. So I design with operations in mind: monitoring, patching, incident management. Resilience, for its part, has to be tested: I have organised several simulated outage exercises, up to the loss of a cloud zone.
AI starts with the platform
Identity, network, data, costs: an AI project is won or lost on the platform, long before the choice of model. Without private access to data, an access model and inference cost tracking, a proof of concept stays a proof of concept. Three generative AI agents run in production on this principle, with access to AI services governed by policies.
Built to be taken over
Architecture documents, ADRs, Terraform modules, runbooks: every engagement leaves documents and code your teams can take over and evolve. The reference patterns and architecture documents I owned were followed by every product team.
