The problem
You are launching or taking over a cloud foundation programme: landing zone, platform, architecture standards. You lack a senior architect to lead the teams and hold the framework over time.
What I do
- I design and evolve the Azure or Google Cloud landing zone: hierarchy, identities and privileges, network, Azure Policy guardrails, FinOps included.
- I set up platform engineering: shared Terraform modules, a traced environment request process, FinOps and Architecture approvals.
- I write the standards: reference patterns, architecture documents, best practices. I lead the design reviews.
- I lead the architects and help the teams build their skills.
What you get
- Architecture documents and documented architecture decisions (ADRs), kept up to date.
- Reference patterns and standards shared by your product teams.
- Reusable Terraform modules.
- Design reviews and mentoring of your teams.
Possible formats
In your teamsSeveral months, full or part time
Fractional1 to 2 days a week
For example for a mid-sized company or a scale-up with no senior architect in house.
Track record
- Tech Lead of the Architecture team (3 architects) of a large international retail group, since February 2024.
- A cloud environment delivered in 72 hours instead of several weeks, through a traced request process and shared Terraform modules.
- Technical contact for the Microsoft and Google teams: a meeting every two weeks, contributions to the platform roadmap.
- A shared Azure Virtual Desktop foundation, which replaces Frame (Dizzion) and can serve other uses.
